about

PIMPBOT has been a labor of love for the past ten years and we’ve made some great friends along the way. Whether it is traditional ska, two-tone ska or ska/punk/rock, we have found that the love of ska music is universal and has become a keystone of networks spanning around the globe. The same genre of music that was once instrumental in the racial equality movement is being called on once again to bring a message of hope. After the recent disasters in Japan, the ska community is coming together to help our friends in need. Japan has contributed heavily to the proliferation of ska music with such acts as Kemuri, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra and Oi-Skall Mates. It’s time to give back! With the help of Pass Out Records, PIMPBOT has called on their ska mates in Australia, Canada, the Mainland USA and even their Hawaii counterparts to donate songs to show their “SkAloha!! For Japan.”

PIMPBOT and Pass Out Records are committed to helping communities, near and far. Past efforts include benefits for the Hawaii Food Bank, The Life Foundation, Anti-Violence groups and as Armed Forces Entertainment artists, performing for our US Troops stationed abroad. Proceeds from “SkAloha!! For Japan” will be donated to the American Red Cross’ Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami fund.
